Agents are like the foot soldiers. They play the role of clearing and forwarding by receiving cash to be loaded on mobile phone and payment of cash to be converted as mobile money.
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BE AN AGENT?
· Provide proof of ownership of your business unit.
· Have a shop or a call centre.
· Be trainable (We provide this services for the operators)
· Be 18 years and above
· Be of good character
· Have a mobile phone and a valid phone number
· Have an active e-mail address and ability to access the Internet
WHAT ARE AGENTS ROLE?
· Receive cash and load mobile money to GSM for customer at their shops
· Sell recharge cards in bulk to other have resellers under them
· Pay out cash to customers who have received money from other mobile money users.
· Registration of customers.
WHAT DOES AN AGENT NEED TO REGISTER?
· In addition to the above qualifications, agents must:
· Provide 2 referees
· Functioning Bank Account (3 months statement)
· 2 passport photograph
· Photocopy of current utility bill
· Photocopy of e-passport/National ID card/Driver’s license
· Evidence of Business Registration
· Fill and submit Agent Registration Form
· Obtain Agent store application form
· Get Authorization
